tattvasiddhiḥ
|ṃamaḥ sakalakaluṣāpahāriṇe śrīvajrasattvāya ||
vajrayānaṃ namaskṛtya mahāsukhasukhākaram |
tattvasiddhiṃ pravakṣyāmi sammohavinivṛttaye ||1||
etasmin vajramahāyāne ye kecid anupacita-kuśala-vāsanāsantānāḥ,samāropita bhāvabhāvanāḥ,svavikalpānilapreyamāṇa-matayaḥ,sakala-kalikālakalaṅkapaṅkapaṭala-malīmasa-mānasāḥ,asamadhigata-saṃsārasāgarataraṇopāyāḥ,svavikalpānalpasaṅkalpitadhiyaḥ,viṣamagranthisthānadainyapatitāḥ,durbodhagrahāveśavaśākulitacetaso'nupāsitācāryāḥ,paramārthabhāvanopadeśarahitāḥ,śrīmanmahāsukhavajrasattvatvam,analpakalpāsaṃkhyenāpi mārgāntareṇādhigamyaṃ vajrayānopāyayuktānām ihaiva janmani anāyāsasādhyasthira-sarvabhāva [svabhāvam],anādinidha[na]m,anālayam,akhilasattvasantānaṃ,svasaṃvedyasvabhāvam,mahāpuṇyahetum,adhigamalakṣaṇaṃ,tadupāyabhū(taṃ)ca mahāvajrayānaṃ samastayānottamamāgamaṃ lakṣaṇaṃ na pratipadyante,teṣām ajñānatimirapaṭalavinivṛttaye yuktyāgamābhyām abhidhīyate kiñcit ||
tatra prajñopāyaparigṛhītā rūpādayo viṣayāḥ paribhogabhāvamāpadyamānāḥ viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakā bhavantītyavaśyameva prekṣāvadbhirabhyupagantavyam | viśiṣṭā hi sāmagrī viśiṣṭameva phalaṃ janayatīti sarvavādiprasiddham | yathāpṛthivyādibhyaḥ samutpannamāmalakaphalaṃ kaṣāyarasamanubhūyate,punaḥ kṣīrāvasekādimadhikaṃ kāraṇamāsādya tadeva madhuratayā pratīyate | tadevaṃ - yathā kāraṇāntarābhisaṃskṛtaṃ kāraṇaṃ viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakatvena pratyakṣeṇaiva dṛśyate,evamete rūpādayo viṣayā mahāmudrāniṣpattau mantramudrādhiṣṭhitānāṃ yogināṃ viśiṣṭataraṃ phalamutpādayantīti sadbhiravadheyam | yato na vai kiñcidekaṃ janakamapitu sāmagrī janikā,tena viśiṣṭāt kāraṇā[ntarā]d hi viśiṣṭameva kāryamutpadyate,acintyatvād hetupratyayasāmarthyasya sarvavidām | [prayogaḥ]- tatra ya ime viśiṣṭakāraṇābhi saṃskṛtāste viśiṣṭameva kāryamārabhante,yathā kṣīrāvasekenā malakādayo madhuraphalā bhavanti,(tathā)viśiṣṭakāraṇābhisaṃskṛtā rūpādayo'pi,iti svabhāvahetuḥ | tadatra viśiṣṭakāraṇāntarābhisaṃskāramātrānubandhasvabhāvaḥ kāryābhimato bhāvo vyāpaka svabhāvaḥ,kāraṇāntarābhisaṃskārastu vyāpyameva | tena yad yad viśiṣṭakāraṇāntarābhisaṃskṛtasvabhāvam,tad tad asati pratibandhake akāraṇavaikalye viśiṣṭakāraṇāntarābhi saṃskārād viśiṣṭameva kārya bhavati iti,tanmātrānubandhitvāt |
tasya tasmāt siddhe vyāpyavyāpakabhāve vyāpake sādhye vyāpyaṃ hetuḥ | tadyathā-vyāpake vṛkṣādike sādhye vyāpyaṃ śiśapādiḥ hetuḥ | siddhatvād vyāpyavyāpaka-bhāvasya na kalpe datra kāraṇaṃ vyāpya-vyāpaka-bhāvāt param | evamihāpi jñeyam | ata evoktam -
aśeṣayogatantreṣu guhyendutilakādiṣu |
nāsti kiñcidakarttavyaṃ prajñopāyena cetasā ||2||
nirviśaṅkaḥ sadā bhūtvā bhoktavyaṃ pañcakāmakam |
oṣadhīcūrṇasaṃyogāduragasyeva bandhanam ||3||
kāmino nityaraktasya gītavādyaratasyaṃ ca |
kāmasaukhyairatṛptasya sidhyate nātra saṃśayaḥ ||4||
bodhicittaṃ dṛḍhaṃ yasya niḥsaṅgā ca matirbhavet |
vicikitsā naiva karttavyā tasyedaṃ sidhyate dhruvam ||5||
sunirūpya susañcintya praveśaṃ kārayed budhaḥ |
anyathāgnipraveśo'sya kalāṃ nārhati ṣoḍaśīm ||6||
tattvaṃ vijñāya tattvena yo'dhimuktiṃ niṣevate |
sa sidhyatyanyathā tasya mahānirayapātanam ||7||
na caitacchakyate vaktuṃ yathaite rūpādayo viṣayāḥ kleśaprasūti-hetutvādapāyahetava iti | kleśānām ātmātmīyagrahābhiniveśapūrvakattvāt na rūpādayo nimittam,yena
ātmani sati parasaṃjñā svaparavibhāgāt parigrahadveṣau |
anayoḥ sampratibaddhāḥ sarve doṣāḥ prajāyante ||8||
tasmād yasyātmadarśanaṃ tasyaite kleśāḥ sambhavantīti | yastu nairātmyasātmīkaraṇāt samāsāditanairātmyarasaḥ,tasya naite tathā bhavanti |
yadi punaḥ viṣayāḥ sarvadā rāgahetava eva tadā kathaṃ samviparītajñānamapi janayanti aśucyādibhirākāraiḥ,abhyāsabalāt,tena yathāsamāropameva khalvete vijñānamupajanayanti | evaṃ viṣayāḥ viśiṣṭasamāropād viśiṣṭapariṇāmācca viśiṣṭaphalaniṣpattau hetubhāvaṃ pratipadyanta iti kiṃ na iṣyate?yathā -
parivrāḍ-kāmuka-śunāmekasyāṃ pramadātanau |
aśuciḥ kāminī bhakṣyā iti tisro vikalpanāḥ ||9||
na ca ete'pi viśiṣṭasamāropāḥ tathāpariṇāmācca saṃsārabandhahetukā bhavanti iti,trimaṇḍalapariśuddhatvād deya-dāyaka-parigrāhakāpratilabdheḥ | yasmād trimaṇḍalapariśuddheḥ mantra-mudrāpariṇāmaḥ tasmānmantrādibhirāhitaviśeṣā rūpādayo viṣayā anuttarameva phalaṃ kurvanti | yathā viṣādikaṃ mantrādibhiḥ saṃskṛtyopabhujyamānamanyadeva rasāyanādikaṃ phalamāvahata iti,tadanyayā bālānāṃ niyamena pañcatvaṃ karotīti | evaṃ viṣayā api mantra mudrādhiṣṭhitā viśiṣṭatarameva phalaṃ vikurvantīti sutarāmavavoddhavyam | taccoktaṃ śrīparamādye -
rāgo dveṣaśca mohaśca trayaite viṣamaṃ gatāḥ |
viṣatvamupayāntyeva viṣamatvena sevitāḥ |
amṛtatvaṃ punarye ca amṛtattvena sevitāḥ ||10||
punaścoktaṃ ratnakūṭasūtre - 'tadyathā kāśyapa | ikṣukṣetreṣu śālikṣetreṣu saṃkarakūṭa upakārībhūto bhavati,evameva yo bodhisattvasya kleśa saṃkarakūṭaḥ saḥ sarvajñatāyām upakārībhūto bhavati | tadyathā kāśyapa mantrauṣadhiparigṛhītaṃ viṣaṃ na nighātayati evameva prajñopāyasamanvitobodhisattvaḥ | kleśaviṣairna vinipātyate | punaścoktam ācāryanāgārjunapādaiḥ -
vāsanāmūlaparyantāḥ kleśāste'nagha | varjitāḥ |
kleśapravṛttito yāvattvayā'mṛtamupārjitam ||11||
punaścoktam upāliparipṛcchāsūtre - rāgo bodhisattvasya mahāsattvārthatāyāṃ saṃvartate,sattvānurāgatvād iti ||
sāmagrībhedāt kāryabheda- darśanād dharmanairātmyāvabodhācca na tatrābhiniveśaḥ kayañcidapi,sambhavati,kevalaṃ tvanuttaramahāsukhaphalāvāpteḥ nānyat sādhanamasti,tattaireva sukhairāhāravihārādibhistatphalamabhimukhīkriyate yasya puraḥ saraṃ vibhavaḥ sa sādṛśaḥ syāt | kathamanyādṛśodbhūtaḥ tādṛśaḥ syāt | ataevoktaṃ samvaratantre-
ātmā vai sarvabuddhatvaṃ sarvaśauritvameva ca |
svādhidaivatayogena tasmādātmaiva sādhayet ||12||
na yogaḥ pratibimbeṣu niṣiktādiṣu jāyate |
bodhicittamahodyogād yoginastena devatāḥ ||13||
svamātmānaṃ parityajya tapobhirna ca pīḍayet |
yathāsukhaṃ sukhaṃ dhāryaṃ sambuddho'yamanāgataḥ ||14||
nātiśaucaṃ na niyamo na tapo na ca duṣkaraiḥ |
tapaścārairna niyamaiḥ sukhairharṣaiśca sidhyati ||15||
yathā,bhagavatā rūpādayaḥ tannirjātāḥ sukhapariṇāmanāḥ anuttaraphalaheturuktāḥ tathā sparśanirjātasukhapariṇāmanā api | yadi āgamaviruddhatvānna bhavatī ti ced,āgamaḥ - sparśaviśeṣasukhasaṃsevanāt tatphalamāvahatīti | tatra virodhaḥ tasya pratiṣiddhatvāditi cet,na,pratiṣedhasyaniyataviṣayatvāt | ye hi prajñopāyarahitā ātmātmīyagrahābhiniveśena pariṇāmanānabhijñāḥ sparśaviśeṣaṃ saṃsevante,teṣāmavidyāparigṛhītamūrtīnāṃ viṣayā apāyahetavo bhavantīti | tathā coktaṃ bhagavatā -
bhikṣubhāve sthitā ye ca ye ca tarkaratā narāḥ |
vṛddhabhāve sthitā ye ca teṣāṃ tattvaṃ na deśayet ||16||
bhagavatā tān prati sandhārya pratiṣedha uktaḥ | taduktaṃ ca śrīsamāje--
daśakuśalān karmapathānicchanti jñānavarjitāḥ ||17||
tathā vairocanābhisambuddhāvapyuktam -
upāyai rahitaṃ jñānaṃ śikṣā vā'pi hi deśitā |
śrāvakānāṃ mahāvīreṇā va tārāya teṣu vai ||18||
na tu prajñopāyaparigṛhītamūrtīnāṃ viśiṣṭaphalānveṣiṇāṃ viśiṣṭa pariṇāmanāphalamanubhavatāṃ paramārthadharmatattvāvabodhāt manāmapi teṣāṃ taddoṣabhāgitā bhavati,kintu mativiśeṣeṇa samanvitāḥ santoṣasya cānuttarasya lābhino bhavanti,akaluṣatvāccittasya | tasmādāśayaviśeṣeṇa kṛta evāyaṃ puṇya puṇyetaravibhāgo,na tu yathāvastu vyavasthitarūpam | uktañca āryadevena -
saṅkalpād bodhisattvānāṃ śubhaṃ vā yadi vā'śubham |
sarva kalyāṇatāmeti teṣāṃ vaśyaṃ yato manaḥ ||19||
tena saṅkalpakṛteṣu puṇyāpuṇyeṣu yasya viśiṣṭa eva kāraṇāntara kṛtasaṅkalpaviśeṣaḥ,rūpādiṣu sa tasmādāśayaviśeṣād viśiṣṭameva phalaṃ tasya avaśyamakāmakairapi parairapyupagantavyam iti | ata evoktaṃ bhagavatā -
'māyopamā dharmāḥ,adhimuktasya sarvopabhogā yujyante iti | punaścoktam - 'ahaṅkāryaśraddhasya bhikṣoḥ śraddhādeyam aparibhogyam'
punaścoktaṃ samvaratantre -
ākāśalakṣaṇaṃ sarva ākāśaṃ cāpyalakṣaṇam |
māyopamaṃ ca vai sarva traidhātukamaśeṣataḥ ||20||
dṛśyate spṛśyate caiva yathā māyā hi sarvataḥ |
na copalabhyate caivaṃ sarvasya jagataḥ sthitiḥ |
anayā mudrayā yogī śodhayet bhuvanatrayam || 21||
punaścoktaṃ sarvadevasamāgamatantre -
yaireva mūḍhā vadhyante buddhāḥ krīḍanti tairiha |
sarve sampūrṇayogena anyathā yānti dīpavat ||22||
punaścoktaṃ -
guptalokottarāṃ caryā vicarantyavikalpataḥ |
pramādaścānyathā jāyet vikalpastatra yujyate ||23||
nirvikalpena bhāvena sarvākāreṇa sarvadā |
sattvamāsthāya niḥśaṅkaḥtadā siddhyatyasaṃśayam ||24||
sattvena nirviśaṅkena sarvāvastho'pi sarvadā |
sarvācārapravṛtto'pi na bandhamupayāsyati ||25||
niḥśeṣācārasañcāro nirvikalpena cetasā |
sarvendriyopabhogena sattvasyo hi na badhyate ||26||
punaścoktam -
śūnyarūpamidaṃ sarva śūnyākāreṇa cakṣuṣā |
paśyatāṃ nirvikalpānāṃ satāṃ niḥśaṅkatā bhavet ||27||
punaḥ tatra eva -
sarvāṇi vyomarūpāṇi vyomarūpeṇa cetasā |
bhāvanānnirvikalpatvaṃ niḥśaṅkatvaṃ prajāyate ||28||
punaścoktam - yogināṃ kīdṛśaṃ vratam?
sopāyaṃ sarvakarmāṇi nirviśaṅkaścaret tadā |
nirviśaṅkena bhāvena vratānāmuttamottamaḥ ||29||
tapaḥ kimucyate?
nirvikalpena bhāvena sarvakarmāṇi sarvadā |
ācarennirviśaṅkena tapasāmuttamaṃ tapaḥ ||30||
viṣayān sevamānasya nirvikalpena cetasā |
kutsādhitaṃ na vā cetastattapo duratikramam ||31||
yastu sarvāṇi karmāṇi prajñayā viniyojayet |
sarva śūnyapade yojyaṃ tapo hyeṣa mahātmanām ||32||
prajñāsaṅkrāntirūpeṇa nirvikalpena cetasā |
niḥśaṅkācārasañcāraḥ tapasteṣāṃ mahātmanām ||33||
prajñopāyaṃ vinā'nyatra yadi cittaṃ ca saṅkramet |
niyataṃ tatsamuddiṣṭaṃ mahābodhipradāyakam ||34||
yogināmabhiyuktānāṃ nirvikalpānugāminām |
teṣāṃ sarvāṇi bhūtāni vilāsārthaṃ ca sṛṣṭavān ||35||
prajñādarpaṇasaṅkrāntaṃ tadākāraṃ ca saṃskṛtam |
prajñājātā smṛti steṣāṃ nirvikalpātmacetasām ||36||
darpaṇaprativimbaṃ ca svapnaṃ māyāṃ ca budbudam |
indrajālaṃ ca sadṛśaṃ yaḥ paśyet sa prabhuḥ smṛtaḥ ||37||
taḍidgandharvanagaraṃ vipākañcaiva saṃskṛtam |
tadākāraṃ prapaśyanti tasyāyattāḥ prajāḥ smṛtāḥ ||38||
ityuktam |
tena na kasyacit sthitirasti yatrābhiniveśaḥ syāt | 'yadā caivaṃbhūtairapi māyopamaiḥ bhāvairviśiṣṭasaṃbhogasañjātasukhasparśa -pariṇāmata na yā kiñcid viśiṣṭaphalaṃ prāpyate,tadā kiṃ neṣyate?"na hi ete sthirāḥ svabhāvataḥ,kintvavabhāsamātralakṣaṇāḥ | yadi ete viśiṣṭabhāvanābhyāsabalād viśiṣṭasukhasaumanasyādikakāryeṣu āryānuttaraphalāvāptihetubhāvaṃ pratipadyante,tadā na kaściddoṣaḥ | tathācoktaṃ śrīparamādye -
ātmā vai sarvabuddhatvaṃ sarvaśauritvameva ca |
svādhidaivatayogena tasmādātmaiva sādhayet ||39||
duṣkarairniyamaistīvraiḥ mūrtiḥ śuṣyati duḥkhitā |
duḥkhād vikṣipyate cittaṃ vikṣepāt siddhiranyathā ||40||
manomūrtidṛḍhatvācca sarvasaukhyaṃ dṛḍhībhavet |
duḥkhaiścalatvamāyāti nirodhaṃ vāpi gacchati ||41||
punaścoktaṃ laukikalokottaravajratantre -
sukhena labhyate siddhirna siddhiḥ kāyatāpanaiḥ |
yasmāt samādhisambhūtaṃ buddhatvaṃ sarvasaukhyataḥ ||42||
anāhārādibhistīvraisstathānyaiśca tṛṣādibhiḥ |
kāyatāpāddhi vikṣepo vikṣepāt siddhiranyathā |
hīnasattvā na sidhyanti duṣkarāstena kīrtitāḥ ||43||
punaścoktaṃ śrīsamājatantre -
duṣkarairniyamaiḥ kaṣṭaiḥ sevamāno na sidhyati |
sarvakāmopabhogaistu sevayaṃścāśusidhyati ||44||
bhikṣāśinā na japtavyaṃ na ca bhaikṣyaratirbhavet |
japenmantramabhinnāṅgaṃ sarvakāmopabhogakṛt ||45||
kāya-vāk-citta-sausthityaṃ prāpya bodhiṃ samaśnute |
anyathā'kālamaraṇaṃ pacyate narake dhruvam ||46||
tena prakṛtiprabhāsvara-sphaṭikopalasadṛśe manasi rūpādibhirā hitasaṃskāraviśeṣa-sukhasaumanasyalakṣaṇaḥ saḥ tatra prajñopāyaparigṛhītasyābhyāsaviśeṣabalāt prakarṣaparyantarūpatāmāsādayediti | tadyathā-prajñādi śilpakalādayaḥ | śabdādi viṣayānubhavasañjātasaṃskāraviśeṣa to yogijñānam asakṛdbhāvanābhyāsasāmarthyāt samāhita paramaśāśvatasvabhāvaṃ bhāvanāprakarṣaparyanta māyāt | svasiddhānte sugatādīnāmiva,loke ca kāmaśokabhayonmādādivat | sparśādi janitasukhasaumanasyādayaśca bhāvyante,tasmātte'pi paramaviśeṣaśālina iti svabhāvaviruddhopalabdhiḥ | ihāpi duḥkhādiviruddhaṃ sukhasaumanasyādilakṣaṇaṃ kāryam,taccābhyāsabalāt sātmībhāvamāsādyamānamupalabhyate yadā,tadā tadviruddhaṃ duḥkhadaurmanasyādikaṃ nivartayati,svaguṇavyūha ca ḍhaukate | tena tadatra sāmagrī bhāvanatayā vyavasthitaṃ tadviruddhasya duḥkhāde ra vakāśamapākaroti | tadyathā - śītādiviruddhamuṣṇādikam upalabhyamānaṃ śītādyabhāvaṃ pratipādayati,yenaikatra sthāne parasparaṃ na viruddhamupalabhyate,evam anayorapi sukhaduḥkhayorna caikatra santānātmani kathamapi sambhavaḥ,tadviruddhatvāt tasya,tena sukhasaumanasyādi sātmīkaraṇe naiva duḥkhādīnāṃ kathamapi sambhāva nī yatāmāropayati iti yuktamuktam - svabhāvaviruddhopalabdhiḥ tadrūpābhāvaṃ pratipādayati | prakarṣaparyantagamane abhyāsaviśeṣo hetuḥ prajñāśilpakalādivat,tadviśeṣa viruddhopalabdheḥ,ityavaboddhavyam |
kiñca bhāvyamānānāmapi yadi viśeṣāṇāṃ tāvadapi nivṛttiriṣyate,tadā pṛthvīkṛtsnādikamapi bhāvanāprakarṣaparyantavartināṃ tathaiva nivṛttimāpādayed iti | na ceṣyate,yasmād ye prakarṣaparyantavartitayā svātmalābhabhāvāḥ na teṣāmāvartanam,yathā pṛthvī kṛtsnādayaḥ | labdhātmalābhāḥ sva viśeṣāśritāḥ sukhasaumanasyādayaḥ,tasmātte'pi na vyāvartante,vyāvṛttau kāraṇābhāvāt | ye tu doṣādayo vyāvṛttibhāginaḥ teṣāṃ ca tadānīṃ nāyaṃ bhāvaḥ | tadanu duḥkhodbhavo'pi na syāt,prakarṣaparyantagamane tanna sambhavati,anyathā mokṣānantaramapi saṃsāraḥ syād iti na ceṣyate prayujyateḥ vā | ye mokṣaṃ prāptasya saṃsārotpatti neṣyante eva te'pi tadānīṃ kāraṇābhāvādavidyāvāsanāyā vinivṛttāḥ | parārthena yā samutpattirna sā sāṃsārikī,pūrvapraṇidhānāve śasāmarthyena tatra pravṛtteḥ,na vāsanāsāmarthyāt | tena yathā mokṣānantaraṃ saṃsāraḥ na,tathā sukhaprakarṣaparyantagamanānantaraṃ duḥkhaṃ cittasyāpi na jāyate,prakṛtipariśuddhatvāt tadeva mecakamaṇisadṛśam | tataḥ yena yena vāsyate tatra tatra cābhyāsabalād viśiṣṭatarasvabhāvamāviṣkaroti aparāvṛttidharmatālakṣaṇam | ata evoktam -
yena yena hi bhāvena manaḥ saṃyujyate nṛṇām |
tena tanmayatāṃ yāti viśvarūpo maṇiryathā ||47||
tena sarvametad viśiṣṭapariṇāmanayā pariṇāmyamāne viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakaṃ bhavati iti | tena na kiñcit nāmyapariṇāmaṃ nāma | pūrvakarmāvedhasāmarthyācca tathaiva tadbhavatīti,anyathā viśiṣṭapariṇāmanā vyarthā,sarvatra ca aviśvasanīyā syāt | tathā coktaṃ jinajananyām -
'punaraparaṃ subhūte | bodhisattvo mahāsattvo divyānulepanāni dadāti tathāgateṣu tathāgatacaityeṣu vā | tasyaivaṃ bhavati,anena kuśalamūlena anuttarāṃ samyaksambodhimabhisambuddhe,tatra buddhakṣetreṣu sarvasattvānāṃ divyāḥ sparśaviśeṣāḥ abhiniṣpadyantām | iti pariṇāmanā bhavet | punaraparaṃ subhūte !bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasyaivaṃ bhavati,manoratha - saṅkalpenaiva iṣṭān pañcakāmaguṇān buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ śrāvakasaṅghānāṃ sarvasattvānāṃ copanāmayeyam | tasyaivaṃ sañjānata evaṃ bhavati -anena kuśalamūlena mama buddhakṣetre anuttarāṃ samyaksambodhimabhisambuddhasya śrāvakasaṅghasya satvānāṃ ca manoratha - saṅkalpenaiva iṣṭāḥ kāmaguṇāḥ prādurbhavantu | punaraparaṃ subhūte | bodhisattvā mahāsattvāḥ sarvasattvaiḥ sārddha samyaksambuddhebhyo vā pañcakāmaguṇadānaṃ dadāti evamādi|
itaśca vāsanāvedhasāmarthyād evaṃ dṛṣṭakāryeṣu vartate | mātuluṅgādi phalaṃ loke yathā lākṣādisekād uktarūpam,tathā cāsya citasya bāhya-sparśādisevanāt tadeva sukhādikaṃ saṃskāraviśeṣaprativedhāhitaviśeṣatvāt punaḥ tatraiva abhimukhībhavati | tadanuraktatvāccittasya tadrañjitaṃ ca tatraiva dṛḍhībhavati | tadapi yathā dhattūrakarpāsa vīja dāḍimādīnāṃ kāraṇāntarairāhitaviśeṣaṃ tatra tathaiva phalaṃ pratīyate,āhitasāmarthyāt | evaṃ cittamapi sparśādinirjātasukhasaumanasyādiviśeṣaṃ taduttarottaraviśiṣṭaphalāvāhakaṃ bhavati | tatpratipakṣayānānabhiniviṣṭatvāt na pratipakṣodayaḥ tadvimukhatvāt sukhitvācca | tathā śrīparamādye pradarśitaṃ bhavati -
'sarvaduḥkhadaurmanasyādibhyo'vakāśo na deva | deyaḥ ||47||
punaścoktaṃ sarvadevasamāgamatantre -
surāsurāṇāṃ bhūtānāṃ pratibodhirna vidyate |
kīrtayan tena sarvāṅgamānandaṃ copabhuñjate ||48||
atastenāti gacchanti nirvāṇaṃ dīpā yathā |
nirvāṇāgnirmahāghoro bhasmānyapi na muñcati ||49||
na tatra tattvaṃ vidyate nendriyārthā na dhātavaḥ |
na manaścaittakaṃ nāpi nāhaṅkāro na dhīrapi ||50||
na ca sattvaṃ na ca prajñā na cittaṃ naiva kiñcit |
suṣuptāvasthitākāraṃ nirvikalpaṃ nirātmakam ||51||
na saṃjñā na ca ceṣṭā tu na rūpaṃ na guṇaḥ kvacit |
nirvāṇaṃ tatsamuddiṣṭaṃ mokṣaṃ tu niṣkalaṃ bhavet || 52||
jñātvā saṃsārabhāvasya niḥsvabhāvasvabhāvatām |
tadā prabuddho vijñeyo nirvāṇaṃ yadi necchati ||53||
jñātvā sadbhāvasārūpyaṃ niḥsvabhāvasvabhāvatām |
nirvāṇaṃ yaḥ prapadyeta vinā siddhiṃ na vīryavān ||54||
na kṛtanāśaścānyo jāyate hīnacetasaḥ |
yaḥ parāṃ bodhimāsādhya vinā siddheḥ prahīyate ||55||
kiṃ tena na kṛtaṃ pāpaṃ caureṇātmāpahāriṇā |
buddhātmanaḥ śarīrasya siddhiṃ saukhyairna pūrayet ||56||
na tasya vidyate vīryaṃ na ca sattvaṃ pratiṣṭhitam |
yaḥ parāṃ bodhimāsādya nirvāṇaṃ yātyasiddhitaḥ ||57||
nānyo hīnatarastasmāt nānyaḥ syād durjano janaḥ |
yaḥ parāṃ bodhimāsādya tyajate svaśarīrakam ||58||
tadvīryaṃ sarvavīryāṇāṃ yaḥ pravuddhvā pravartate |
sarvendriyopabhogeṣu rataḥ sannā pi badhyate ||59||
punaścoktaṃ vimuktisamudyātanatantre -
nāsti tattvavrataṃ puṃsāṃ mahāphala pradaṃ yataḥ |
kvaciccittādhimuktānāṃ vāsanā tyajyate katham ||60||
na tena śodhitaṃ cittaṃ yogatantravratasthitam |
kevalaṃ bhinnadṛṣṭitvāt prabuddho'pi vinaśyati ||61||
na kṛtaghnatastvanye ye prabodhiṃ gatā narāḥ |
dīpavad yānti nirvāṇaṃ na siddhimanubhuñjate ||62||
nānyaḥ sattvena rahitaḥ svaśarīrasya jāyate |
vipratyakṣakāmaśca nirvāṇaṃ yaḥ prapadyate ||63||
prabuddhakāraṇācceha nirvāṇaṃ ye narā gatāḥ |
sukhānantān parityajya siddhamiṣṭaṃ phalaṃ tadā ||64||
punaścoktam -
pāradaścāgnisaṃyogād yathābhāvaṃ prapadyate |
dahyate dṛśyate naiva gacchanno dhūma eva vā ||65||
gomayādhārayogena yathā saṃgṛhyate punaḥ |
jñānamevaṃ vijānīyāt mahāmudrā samaṃ tathā ||66||
prayogaśca- ye ye prāptaprakarṣaparyantāḥ na te vyāvartante | tadyathā mokṣādayaḥ | prakarṣaparyanta kāraṇasvarūpāḥ sukhasaumanasyādayaḥ,iti svabhāvahetuḥ | itaraśca - ye hi bhāvyante te bhāvanābhyāsasāmarthyāt samāhitaparamaprakarṣaparyantavartino bhavanti,yathā - prajñā-śilpa-kalādayaḥ | bhāvyante ca prajñopāyaparigṛhītāni sparśaviśeṣanirjātāni sukhasaumanasyāni,tasmāttānyapi paramaprakarṣavanti bhavanti | svabhāvahetureva | tadatrāpi prakarṣaparyantagamanamātrānubandhi sātmīkaraṇaṃ,taccābhyāsaviśeṣabalād apunarāvṛttidharmatāmasāvā sādayati | na punastadanyena kenacid api vyāvartate tatsvabhāvatāmupagataḥ | tadyathā- kāṣṭhādau agnidāhitā viśeṣā na tadvyāvartante,dāhādi lakṣaṇaṃ tasyāpunarbhāvadharmitvāt | ata evoktam -
na puna rdāhataḥ kiñcid vikārajananaṃ kvacit |
viparyayāt punaḥ kiñcid yathā kāṣṭhasuvarṇayoḥ ||67||
hemādau agnikṛta viśeṣaḥ tatsantānavyāvṛttau tadviparītakāraṇataḥ tatsvabhāvabhāvaṃ sampāditaḥ yathā agnijalādiḥ | akhilahuta suvarṇasya asyāpi anya eva kaṭhinasvabhāvādhyāsitaviśeṣaḥ sañjāyate svabhāvādhivāsitaviśeṣāntara utpadyate |tadatra cetasi viṣayopabhogasañjāto harṣātmaviśeṣaḥ | taduttarottaraṃ tasyaiva kāraṇasya saṃsevanena parāṃ niṣṭhām āsādyamānasya na vyāvṛttiḥ,buddhestatpakṣapātāt | yena buddhirhi tadanuraktā satī samāsāditaguṇā ca tadeva kāraṇam ādatte,tadviparīte ca vimukhyān na kathañcid vyāvartate | yathā ca -yatra yatra prakarṣaparyantagamanaṃ,tatra tatra sātmībhāvaḥ,tadyathā -śrotriya sya jātibhāvādau?bhāvanāvaśāt nairghṛṇyam | tadyathā - kasyacit śrotriyasya mahāvratadhāriṇo nairghṛṇyaṃ bhāvanāsātmīkaraṇāt tatsāmyamāsādayati tacca svasaṃvedyaṃ sukhasaumanasyādi sarvasantānavarti svasaṃvedanapratyakṣaṃ siddhaṃ,tadapi tatraiva bhāvanāyogasāmarthyād avicchinnapravāhaṃ vartate |
pravāhaviccheda kāraṇābhāvāt duḥkhādi pravāha vicchitikāraṇāni naṃ saṃvidyante | na hi duḥkhādīni hitarūpatayā'vagamya kenacit prekṣāvatā tyajyante,na ca punastadutpatikāraṇamanviṣyate,prekṣāvān kvacid anyathā prekṣāvān na syāt,tadanyo mattakādivat |
tena āstāṃ tāvat prakarṣaparyantagamanam,kintu kiñcinmātra sevanenāpi buddhi staddhitānubandhitvāt tadviparītakāraṇārthamiha kathamapi na sañjāyate | na hi kaścijjānanneva ahiviṣa kaṇṭakādīn upādatte | tena hi tatphalāvāhakameva tadabhyāsaviśeṣavalāt sātmībhāvamupāgatam | tāni ca heyarūpatayā buddhyā prāgeva nirastāni,tena tatsantati vicchedaḥ | tadīya svabhāvahetustatsvabhāvatāṃ sādhayati | na cāsiddho hetuḥ | bhāvanāviśeṣeṇāpi viśiṣṭatā labhyate prajñādīnāṃ tenābhyāsastāvad vidyate | nāsiddhatā nāpyanaikāntikatā,yena sukhasaumanasyādyabhyasyamānaṃ na tadvipakṣe duḥkhādauṃ pravartate | na viruddhaḥ,yasmānna sādhyaviparyayaṃ duḥkhaṃ sādhayati | dṛṣṭāntadharmiṇām api sarvavādiprasiddhatvāt | yena ime prajñāśilpakalādayaḥ pratipuruṣābhyāsatayā bheda viśeṣam āsādyamānāḥ saṃlakṣyate | yadapyuktam - rāgapratipakṣā aśubhāḥ,dveṣapratipakṣo maitrī,mohapratipakṣaḥ pratītyasamutpādaḥ | tatra rāgato virāga vinivṛttiḥ,tadviruddhatvāditi cet,na | yadi tathā dhruvamanya rāgasātmīkaraṇe'pi virāgaḥ syāt | ata evoktaṃ mūlatantre -
aho hi sarvabuddhānāṃ rāgajñānamanāvilam |
hattvā rāgaṃ virāgaṃ ca sarvasaukhyaṃ vadanti te ||68||
na ca rāgādīnāṃ prakṛtisāvadyatvam,anyathā na srotāpannasya mārgapratilambhaḥ syāt,tasya rāgādyaparihāreṇa pravṛtteḥ | kiñca evamuktaṃ bhagavatā śīlapaṭale - bodhisattvena daśakuśalānyapi parārthena khaṇḍayitavyāni | yathā-kācit kāmārthinī strī bodhisattvaṃ prati prāṇān tyajet,tasyāḥ kāmādisevanena prāṇasandhāraṇaṃ kāryam | tathaiva mahāpāpakāriṇaṃ dṛṣṭvā jīvitād vyuparopayati,na ca tasyāpāyagamanaṃ bhavet,bahutaraṃ puṇyaṃ prasavati| tad yadi ete rāgādayaḥ prakṛtisāvadyāstadā kathaṃ durgatihetavo na bhavanti ?prabhūtaratnapuṇyahetavaśca kathamuktāḥ ?tena na teṣāṃ prakṛtisāvadyatā,kintu pudgala santānaviśeṣād guṇaviśeṣāvāhakā bhavanti | yathā ketakīpuṣpaṃ gandhahastinopabhuktaṃ kastūrikādi bhāvena pariṇamate,itaraiśca hastibhirupabhujyamānaṃ asevyabhāvena pariṇāmayati | tena na tatra ketakīpuṣpadoṣaḥ | tathā rāgādayo'pi viśuddhasantānavartino viśiṣṭameva phalaṃ kurvanti,āśayaviśeṣayogāt | yathā kṣīraṃ sarpādibhirupabhujyamānaṃ viṣādibhāvena pariṇāmayati,anyaiśca manujaiḥ upabhujyamānam amṛtabhāvamāpadyate | evamete rāgādayo'pi āśaya viśeṣabhājini viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakā bhavantīti,na prakṛtiniravadyatvāt | hetu prayogaḥ - ye ye viśiṣṭasantānabhāginaḥ te te viśiṣṭaphalāvāhakāḥ,yathā ketakyādayaḥ,viśiṣṭasantānavartinaśca rāgādaya iti svabhāvahetuḥ | atrāpi viśiṣṭa-santāna-prayogapariṇāmamātrānubandhiviśiṣṭaphalāvāhakatvam apratibandhasāmarthya janayatyeva,antyakāraṇasāmagrīvat | yena hi tasya svabhāvaḥ,so'pi tanmātrānubandhajātaṃ karotyeva,pratibandhasya asambhavāt | pratibandhe sambhave cāpratyayaḥ syāt | tadatrāpi viśiṣṭapariṇāmān nānyadapekṣata iti tanmātrānubandha uktaḥ | na ca tatra kṣepābhāvasya pratibandhaḥ,kṣepābhāvāntasya kṣepābhāvānyasmin | prekṣaṇīyasya asambhavāt | evaṃ tanmātrānubandhiniścayāt svabhāvaheturuktaḥ | tathā rasāyaniko'pi bodhicittara sāvedhāt?tatsāmībhāvamupagataṃ bhāvasaṃviśiṣṭameva rūpāntaraṃ janayati tathā tāmrādiṣu sthirīkṛtapāradādi rasāvedhasāmarthyādanyadevāvasthāntaraṃ janayate | nirdoṣā punarāvṛttidharmakatāmupaitīti atrāpi vijñeyam | anyathā tāmrādiṣu na rasādīnāmāvartakatvaṃ syāt | evaṃ tat sāmarthyadarśanāt sphuṭataramevāvagamyate astitvam,anyathā na kiñcit sāmarthya syāt | tathā coktam -
aśucipratimāmimāṃ gṛhītvā jinaratnapratimāṃ karotyanarghām |
ramajātamatīva vedhanīyaṃ sudṛḍhaṃ gṛhṇata bodhicitta saṃjñam ||69||
punaśca
puṇyena sukhitaḥ kāyaḥ pāṇḍityena manaḥ sukhi |
tiṣṭhan parārtha saṃsāre dayāluḥ kena khidyate ||70||
kiñca,yayā rasāyanikaḥ dhanikaḥ puruṣaḥ kaścid viśiṣṭauṣadhisaṃyogāt samāsāditatadguṇamāhātmyaḥ,tasya pañcābhijñāḥ pravartante,tathā'nye ca guṇāḥ āsaṃsāraṃ sthiti kurvanti,evameva viśiṣṭaviṣayaparibhogasañjāta rasāyanasya āsaṃsāra-prakṛta-praṇidhividhānasya parārthaparasya samāhitasakala guṇagaṇasya pratividdhabodhicittarasasya kimiti sattvaṃ neṣyate?kiṃ ca -
na bodhi niḥkleśāṃ kṛtagati ravāpnoti paramāṃ
udīrṇakleśaśca svahitamapi karttṛ na labhate |
iti prāptyai bodheḥ sthiravihitavīryeṇa bhavatā
na nirdagdhāḥ kleśāḥ tṛṇalavaladhutvaṃ tu gamitāḥ ||71||
smṛtijñānagrastā vividhaguṇaniṣpattilaghavo
gatāḥ kleśā bodhirupakaraṇatāmeva bhavataḥ |
anenaivaṃ tvaddhīstadanu na kṛtā bhrāntaviṣayā guṇānāṃ kṣetratvaṃ jagati janidhārā api kṛtāḥ ||72||
kiñca,savikalpakameva tadbhāvanāprakarṣaparyantavarti sarvajñajñānam,āhosvit nirvikalpakamiti ?tatra yadi tāvannirvikalpakamevepyate,tadā bhāvanāvikalpasāmarthyānnirjātasya kathaṃ nirvikalpakatvam?na hi savikalpakād vijñānāt nirvikalpakasya jñānasya prasūtiḥ kathamapi sambhavati | atha kleśopakleśavāsanāvinivṛttaṃ nirvikalpakatvaṃ,tadayuktam,yataḥ kleśopakleśavāsanānivṛttau kimaparamasti yad vikalpakaṃ syāt,tadvyatiriktasya anyasya pramāṇābhāvāt | na cāpi prāmāṇikā kācit siddhirasti | tadbhāvānāṃ na pratyakṣatā,tasya indriyālokamanaskāraviṣayasāmarthyāt nirjātatvāt | na grāhakākāra vinirmuktaṃ jñānaṃ pratipādakamasti,tasya tadviparītarūpatvāt | nāpyanumānam,tasyāpi liṅgaliṅgisambandhagrahaṇapūrvakatvāt | grāhya- grāhakākāradvayavinirmuktajñānaṃ vinā bhāvi kāryākhyaṃ svabhāvākhyaṃ vā liṅgaṃ na upalabhyate | nāpyanupalabdhinibandhanāttasya pratipattiḥ syāt,tasyāḥ pratiṣedhaviṣayatvāt |
tatra kāryahetustāvadasiddhaḥ,kāryakāraṇabhāvasya hyanupapatteḥ,yato na vinaṣṭāt kāraṇāt kāryamupajāyate,tasya asattvena ajanakatvāt | nāpya vinaṣṭād,utpannasya vyāpāra- samāveśakālaparīkṣāyāṃ kṣaṇabhaṅgāprasaṅgāt | nirvyāpārasya khapuṣpasyeva kuto janakatvam?ata evoktam -
na naṣṭāccāpi nānaṣṭād bījādaṅkurasambhavaḥ |
māyotpādavadutpādaḥ sarva eva tvayocyate ||73||
yenotpādo nirodhādi sattvajīvādi deśitāḥ |
neyārthā sā tvayā nātha !bhāṣitā samvṛtistu sā ||74||
tenārthato janyajanakānupapatteḥ nā tra kāryahetuḥ,liṅgābhāvāt | svabhāvahetorapi parokṣatatsvabhāvatayā na kathañcidapi sambhavaḥ,tanmātrasambandhāsiddheḥ | anupalambhasyāpi pratiṣedhasādhakatvānnātra avasaraḥ | na cāparo heturiṣyate pramāṇāntaraśceti kuto nirvikalpakasya jñānasya niścayo vācyaḥ?tathoktam -
svasmānna jāyate bhāvaḥ parasmānnobhayādapi |
na sannāsanna sadasan kutaḥ kasyodayastadā ||75||
tena paramārthena tadvijñānamanupapannam,kathaṃ nirvikalpakaṃ syāt?na hi gaganāmbhoruhādīnāṃ savikalpakatvaṃ nirvikalpakatvaṃ vā iṣyate,nāpi tatreyaṃ cintā pravartate,puruṣārthānupayogitvāt ākāśapadyavat | tadabhyupagame ca na kiñcit prayojanamasti | tanniḥsvabhāvatvāt na kiñcit tatsādhyamupapadyate,na ca sādhyamakurvāṇaṃ sādhanaṃ tatra kīrtyate | tasmāt sarvameva jñānaṃ pratītyasamutpannaṃ grāhyagrāhakākārarūpatayā vartamānaṃ savikalpakamiti pratijānīmahe,yena grāhya-grāhakākāraṃ traidhātukaṃ vijñānaṃ pratyayakalpanamityākhyātam |
ata evoktaṃ laṅkāvatārasūtre -
āryo na paśyati bhrāntiṃ nāpi tattvaṃ tadantare |
bhrāntireva bhavettattvaṃ yasmāttattvaṃ tadantare ||76||
bhrānti vidhūya sarvāṃ hi nimittaṃ jāyate yadi |
saiva tasya bhaved bhrāntiraśuddhaṃ timiraṃ yathā ||77||
tatra kevalaṃ viparītapadārthasamāropavyāvṛttau viśiṣṭapadārthabhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamanād viśiṣṭaphalam āvirbhavati,sāntara-vyantara-svabhāvābhāvasvabhāvam ekasvabhāvaṃ sukhādi,bhāvanābhyāsaviśeṣāśritatvāt,tadākārasaṃvedanavat | tatsamānajātīyapravāha pravṛttaṃ grāhyagrāhakākārasaṃvidbhedena yuktaṃ adhyavasita svarūpamavicchinna santānaṃ dharmakaṃ svacitta-vaśitāprāptaṃ savikalpakamapi yathāvasthitasakalapadārthaparicchedakam,prajñopāyaparigṛhītamūrtitvāt | ata evoktaṃ laṅgāvatārasūtre -
na me yānaṃ mahāyānaṃ na ghoṣo na ca akṣarāḥ |
na ca dhyānaṃ vimokṣo vai na nirābhāsagocaram ||78||
kintu yānaṃ mahāyānaṃ samādhivaśavartinām ||
kāyo manomayo divya-vaśitāpuṣpamaṇḍitaḥ ||79||
tadevaṃ kāraṇaviśeṣāt kāryaviśeṣapratipādanena sarva mākhyātam | kiñca nāmajātyādikalpanaṃ samāropitam | arthānvayavyatirekānukāri savikalpakam api jñānaṃ aspaṣṭābham uktam ācārya - dharmakīrtipādairapi laukikapramāṇa parīkṣāyām | yatra grāhyagrāhakapratibhāso bhedena saṃjñāyate,tatrāspaṣṭābhameva jñānaṃ spaṣṭābhatayā bhāti | tadyathā-nāmajātyādikalpanā rahitaṃ jñānaṃ spaṣṭābhaṃ bhavati,grāhyagrāhakasaṃvitti bhedena bhidyate,tena nāmajātyādikalpanāmāśritya ācāryeṇā pyaspaṣṭābhatā darśitā,na grāhyagrāhakasaṃvittibhedāśrayeṇeti,tena viṣayākārānubhavasañjātaviśeṣasya tadvijātīyādhyavasāyābhāvaḥ | tatsātmībhāvamupagatāyāḥ na spaṣṭābhatāyā vādhakamasti,sādhakaṃ ca vidyate | tatsātmībhāvasamāpattilakṣaṇaṃ kāmaśokabhayonmādādi vad coktaṃ prāk |
atha grāhya-grāhaka-saṃvityākāratayā ābhāsa mānasya jñānasya prakarṣaparyantagamane sarvavityarthamiṣyate,tannāsti,kalpanājālasiddhatvāt | tatra tasyāpyaśeṣākāraśūnyasya saṃvinmātrasya kathamaśeṣajñeyaparicchedakatvam?na hi nirābhāsasya jñānasya kathamapi paricchedakatvaṃ vidyate,yukti-vyāhataṃ caitat |
ekasyānaṃśarūpasya trairūpyānupapattitaḥ |
vedyavedanabhedena svasaṃvitphalamiṣyate ||80||
atha svabhāva eva tasyāyaṃ yat tatprakarṣaparyantagamane sarvasaṃvittau sa svabhāvo'smatpakṣe'pi samānaḥ | tathā hi grāhyagrāhakasaṃvittibhedenabhidyamānasyāpi prakarṣaparyantagamane tadeva viśiṣṭarūpaṃ jāyate | yannikhilameva vastujātaṃ yathāvasthitamevāvabudhyate,tasya tatsāmarthya kiṃ kākena bhakṣitam kiñca,sakala kalpanā-kalāpaśūnyaṃ-tadastīti kimapi sthānam anuṣṭheyam | savikalpakaṃ tu jñānaṃ sarvasattvāntaḥsantānavartitayā pratyakṣādipramāṇasiddham,bhāvanāvalācca sātmībhāvasamāpattau sarvamevāvabudhyate | tadyathā,hi-yad yad,evāti bhāvyate tattadeva bhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamane tatsātmatāmāpādayati-tadyathā śrotriyajātibhāvādau ghṛṇām | bhāvyate ca sarvameva trailokyaṃ tadupabhogatayā iti svabhāvahetuḥ | ata evoktaṃ saṃvaratantre |
sarvayogā hi bhagavān vajrasattvastathāgataḥ |
tasyopabhogyaṃ vai sarva traidhātukamaśeṣataḥ ||81||
punaḥ sarvadevasamāgamatantre coktam -
caturvidhaṃ ca yadbhūtaṃ yatkiñcijjagatīgatam |
sarvopakaraṇaṃ proktaṃ yogināṃ siddha cetasām ||82||
mahāmudrāṃ samādhāya mahāsattva mudāharan |
padaśaḥ sarvamevāhaṃ bhāvayet tattvayogataḥ | 83||
ityevamādi - bhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamanamātrāśubandhi-tatsātmībhāvaḥ yatra yatra bhavati,tatra tatra sātmībhāvamāpādayati | bhāvyante sarvadā tattrailokyāntaravarttinaḥ padārthāḥ sukhasaumanasyādisādhanatvena sthitāḥ | ata evoktaṃ saṃvaratantre -
yadyadindriyamārgatvaṃ yātaṃtattatsvabhāvataḥ |
asamāhitayogena sarva buddhamayaṃ bhavet ||84||
punaścoktaṃ sarvakalpasamuccayatantre-
pañcabuddhāḥ samāsena pañcakāmaguṇāḥ smṛtāḥ ||85||
punaścoktaṃ śrī guhayasamājatantro-
rūpaśabdādibhirbhāvaiḥ devatānāṃ prakalpayet ||86||
tasmātte'pi tadbhāvanāprakarṣaparyantagamane tatsātmatāmupayānti,tarhi te ca gocaratāṃ pratipadyante | tena savikalpakamapi jñānaṃ bhāvanāsāmarthyanirjātaṃ svabhāvaviśeṣabhājinam aśeṣaguṇālayam -
sarvasiddhiphalaṃ taddhi sarvalokādikārakam |
āsaṃsārasthiterhetuḥ sarvasattvārthakārakam ||88||
jñātavyaṃ tatprayatnena ucchedyo'haṃ prayatnataḥ |
jñāte tasmin bhavet sarvaṃ vijñātaṃ tattvasaṃjñitam ||89||
